Iris Hantverk – borstbinderi, design och hållbarhet is description of the longstanding craft of brush binding in a contemporary design and sustainability context. You meet the craftsmen, the designers and the "iris brushes". But also "voices" from the past and reflections on Scandinavian style and today's climate challenge. The brush binding workshop, which started in 1870 in Stockholm, is today one of the few industries in Europe where blind and visually impaired people make brushes from natural materials according to old tradition. They also work consistently with climate-friendly methods, environmentally smart distribution and initiated product development. In the modern workshop, tradition lives on with contemporary signs!
